Add receipt printing capabilities to your SmartSource or TellerScan check scanner with the ReceiptNOW® Elite teller transaction printer.
This modular, stackable device fits underneath your scanner and prints high-quality, customizable receipts without taking up valuable counter space. Its high-speed thermal printing mechanism contains fewer moving parts and does not need to stop for line breaks, giving it better speed and longevity than similar inkjet models.
The ReceiptNOW Elite fits the SmartSource Elite and Expert Elite scanners, as well as the TellerScan TS500. It is also available as either a standard USB-attached model, or in an Ethernet configuration for direct connection to networked and virtual environments!
Paying for a receipt printer does not end with the purchase price – you’ll be paying for ink ribbons and cartridges for the lifetime of the device. Over time, this can turn out to be more than you paid for the printer itself.
With a thermal printer, there is no ink to buy, ever – just the cost of the paper. You will save hundreds of dollars over the lifespan of your ReceiptNOW printer.
Thermal printers operate in a continuous feed, not line-by-line like ink-based printers. That lets them operate many times faster – nearly a foot per second!
Since there is no ink, smudges, saturation, and drying time is not a problem – you can print anything you want on your receipts. That includes standard characters, images, logos, marketing messages, or just about anything else you can think of.
A lot of receipt printers open from the top, but we bet you do not want to un-stack your printer and scanner every time you need to change the paper roll. That is why the ReceiptNOW Elite has a pull-out tray that opens from the front to make your job easier (and keeps the same compact footprint).
The paper tray also has adjustable internal guides that can accommodate paper rolls from 2.25” (57mm) to 3.25” (83mm) wide.
The network model of our ReceiptNOW Elite printer comes with dual Ethernet ports on the back. Why is that? It is so that if you’re using a network scanner — which you probably are, if you’ve got the network printer — you can chain them along a single Ethernet connection. Your printer acts as a miniature Ethernet switch, with one port going from the printer to the scanner, and the other goes from the printer to workstation or the wall.
The reason that is important is because most workstations in a bank or business setting only have one Ethernet wall connection (or overhead “drop”) and adding another one or installing an extra local switch can be costly and technically challenging. By incorporating the necessary hardware into the printer, ReceiptNOW gives you one less thing to worry about.
ReceiptNOW printers are now compatible with the TellerScan line of scanners, including the TellerScan TS240 (left) and TS500 (right). While originally designed to fit with our SmartSource line of scanners, an adapter baseplate provides the correct fit with the TellerScan models as well — another win for cross-compatibility!
The adapter is included with all new ReceiptNOW printer purchases or is available for existing devices by special request. Please note that the TellerScan TS500 fits the ReceiptNOW Elite only; TS240 owners should use the larger ReceiptNOW original model.
