–New release also has enhanced support for Special Document Handling and Digital Check Advisor–
Digital Check Corp has announced the release of Digital Check API 12.0 with support for Apple Mac OS X®, Microsoft Windows® 8, and Linux.
“As we have taken note of the increasing desire for banks to support remote deposit capture users from the Apple community, we felt this was the right time to include Mac OS X as an important element of our product strategy,” said Jeff Hempker, vice president of marketing and North American sales for Digital Check. “And with adoption of Microsoft Windows 8 continuing to grow, Digital Check remains committed to supporting it as the new standard for PC-based environments.”
The new API update will allow many popular remote deposit capture platforms to support Digital Check scanners, and is intended to bring access to RDC within reach for most Apple users without the use of complicated dual booting or software workarounds. It is compatible with Mac OS X versions 10.6 or later. Digital Check API 12.0 also supports many popular Linux versions, including Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, and SUSE.
In addition, Digital Check has built in advancements for its industry-leading Special Document Handling feature, which cleans up difficult-to-read documents, and the Digital Check Advisor® remote monitoring service. The updated API has also optimized features related to the BranchXpress® BX7200 high-capacity back office check scanner. The new API is available for immediate release from Digital Check’s API portal. Digital Check’s API v.12.0 supports Digital Check’s full line of scanners, including the CX30 small business scanner, the TS240 teller, branch, and RDC scanner, the BX7200, and the SB line of small business RDC scanners.
