Updated Device Brings Higher Speed to Mixed-Batch Check and Document Scanning
Northbrook, IL, May 25, 2017 – Digital Check Corp.’s new SmartSource Adaptive 2.0 scanner is now available for general purchase, delivering a significant performance boost for financial institutions and other businesses that need to scan checks and other full-sized documents together in a single batch.
The Adaptive is a multi-feed scanner with an oversized feed tray that can accommodate documents of all shapes and sizes, from ordinary checks to full legal-sized pages. Checks and other documents can be scanned all at once and intelligently sorted to keep payment records together with accompanying information for a wide variety of business purposes.
Upgrades to its memory and processing power allow the Adaptive 2.0 to achieve a maximum speed 50% higher than its predecessor’s, as well as significantly improving performance with mixed batches. The new Adaptive can reach 105 documents per minute (DPM) when scanning checks only, compared with 70 DPM for the original. For checks and full-page documents mixed together, the Adaptive 2.0 nearly doubles its precursor’s top speed, achieving 78 DPM compared to 40 DPM previously.
