Do this the FIRST TIME you connect your scanner:

Step 1: Connect the USB cable and then the Power Cord.

Step 2: Turn the power on.

Scanner will be in USB mode.

Do this the FIRST TIME you connect your scanner:

Step 1: Connect the Power Cord by itself, OR connect both the Ethernet and power cables. Either way will set the scanner to Network mode.

Step 2: Turn the power on. The scanner will configure to Network mode.

Step 3: Connect the Ethernet cable before powering on the next time.

*Setting the scanner to Network mode enables BOTH Ethernet and Ethernet-over-USB mode, connect the Ethernet cable for subsequent use in Ethernet mode.

Do this the FIRST TIME you connect your scanner:

Step 1: Connect the power cord ONLY.

Step 2: Turn the power on. The scanner will default to Network mode.

Step 3: Plug in the USB cable and power on the scanner to use Ethernet over USB.

*Setting the scanner to Network mode enables BOTH Ethernet and Ethernet-over-USB mode, connect the USB cable for subsequent use in Ethernet-over-USB mode.

Start with the power turned OFF and only the power cable plugged in.

Step 1: Press the power button and hold for several seconds.

Step 2: Wait until you hear an audible “chirp.”

Step 3: Continue holding the button for several more seconds.

Step 4: Wait for a second chirp.

This process takes about 10 seconds. The scanner will power off and will restart next time in the opposite connection mode.
