Longtime executive vice president John Gainer has been elevated to the role of director of corporate strategy, which provides guidance to the organization on new undertakings and future planning for the company. The new position reports directly to Digital Check president & CEO Thomas P. Anderson. Jeff Hempker, formerly senior vice president for North America sales and marketing, has been promoted to fill Gainer’s responsibilities as executive vice president.
The changes will play an important part in the company’s ongoing evolution into the digital payments age, says Anderson.
“As we continue the progression from a hardware manufacturer, into an integrated provider of hardware and software image processing tools, our new leadership structure will help guide Digital Check forward. John’s more than 35 years of experience, combined with our history of innovation in high-tech optics and imaging, puts us in great position for long-term success. At the same time, we’re eager to create opportunities for a new generation of leadership to thrive as the company expands its horizons.”
The new positions and titles are effective as of the first quarter of 2016.
