Digital Check & SmartSource Scanners — Windows 11 Drivers

SmartSource Elite check scannerIf you’ve updated your PC to Windows 11, be aware that all Digital Check and SmartSource drivers for Windows 10 have now been certified with Windows 11. There is no need to update your existing drivers, and no separate Windows 11 drivers have been released.

When upgrading their systems from Windows 10 to 11, some users have reported their scanners failing to initialize. This is not a driver issue, but typically a problem with trusted sites settings that are erased during a Windows upgrade. See this related article for more details.

For remote deposit capture users, the recommended method for reinstalling scanner drivers is to uninstall and then reinstall your bank’s deposit software, which also updates the drivers and adds the necessary browser exceptions. Banks and credit unions should first contact their teller systems provider for correct installation procedures.

A list of drivers and demo programs for TellerScan and CheXpress scanners can be found here.
