Digital Check Launches New TS240/TTP - Integrated Check Scanner & Thermal Receipt Printer

- Saves up to 50% of teller counter space & prints check images & marketing messages -

Digital Check recently announced the launch of the TellerScan® TS240/TTP (teller transaction printer), a combination unit that incorporates check scanning and thermal transaction printing into one device for bank teller counters where receipt printing is needed and counter space is limited.

The device combines Digital Check’s reliable, 5th generation TS240 batch-fed scanner, which scans at 50, 75 or 100 documents per minute, with CognitiveTPG’s fast and reliable thermal printer. Digital Check has deployed over a quarter of a million scanners worldwide and there are over one million installations of the thermal receipt printer worldwide. The combined development effort grew in response to ongoing feedback from the teller market over the need for enhanced scanning, printing and space savings.

Digital Check ScannersThe benefit of the TS240/TTP is that it saves up to 50% of valuable teller counter space by combining scanner and receipt printer units, each of which previously required its own space, into one footprint about equivalent to the scanner. The TS240/TTP will also allow financial institutions to print check images from the customer’s deposit, bank branding, as well as variable targeted marketing messages, similar to the types of transaction receipts customers are receiving from image ATMs.

"Many financial institutions are rediscovering the value and power of teller image automation. Digital Check is pleased to be working with CognitiveTPG on this new product as they have a long history and solid reputation for making quality and dependable products,” said John Gainer, executive vice president of Digital Check. Kyle Turner, General Manager for CognitiveTPG added, “We are excited to be working with Digital Check to develop an innovative, market driven product and believe our combined technical and customer driven quality will assure great success with the TS240/TTP."

The TS240/TTP is available through Digital Check’s network of solution partners. For more information, visit Digital Check’s website (www.digitalcheck.com).
