Digital Check Presents $5,000 Donation to Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation

-- Donation Supports Efforts to Educate Children of Fallen Marines, Federal Law Enforcement Officers --

LAS VEGAS , May 18, 2008 -- Digital Check recently presented a check in the amount of $5,000 to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation. The Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation supports children of Marines or Federal law enforcement personnel who were killed on duty or died under extraordinary circumstances while serving at home or abroad. The funds donated to the organization provide children with scholarships for higher education.

In addition to higher educations funding, if a child of a United States Marine is afflicted with a physical or mental disability and requires special medical equipment or tutoring, the foundation may grant financial assistance to the family if personal insurance does not cover the cost of treatment for the affected child. The foundation was created to encourage the spiritual, moral, intellectual and physical development of children through education. Formed in February 1995 by former Marines and law enforcement personnel, the foundation thus far has distributed aid with a value of more than $33,000,000 to eligible children through the continuous support of donors.
